Friday Night Activities

Team Trivia Night | 7 and 9 p.m. Friday
School teams will enjoy a fast-paced, fun and engaging evening of trivia, including categories about pop culture, music, movies and so on. Teams will earn points for getting questions right or completing other interactive challenges. There will be prizes for each round, but there will also be a grand prize for the team that accumulates the most points.

There is no extra fee but please register the number of students you think will participate from your school online. You may still add participants at the convention.

(9 p.m. tour is sold out) Monuments by Moonlight Trolley Tour | 7 p.m. Friday
Participants will board a trolley at the convention hotel for a nonstop two-hour evening tour of some of D.C.’s most famous sites, including the Lincoln Memorial, the FDR Memorial, the Marine Corps War Memorial (also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning photo) and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.

$20 fee per person. Register by Oct. 16, 2014. Due to the unpredictability of D.C. traffic, participants will need to be ready to load at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The maximum number of people who can register for this event is 2,400.

Trolleys will leave from the 24th Street entrance at the Marriott Wardman Park.

Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center | 8 p.m. Friday
This entertaining and interactive whodunit play has been running in D.C. for almost 20 years, but each night is a different experience, as actors incorporate improvisational humor and references to current events.

Individual tickets can be purchased for $56 (including service charge), while groups of 15 or more can receive a discounted rate of $42 per ticket. Call 800-444-1324 to book tickets or click here for more information.
